Currently: Learning Development Manager
Frequent speaker at conferences such as LILAC, ALDinHE and SRHE on topics of learning development, student use of learning resources and blended learning. Often travelling around the UK to give talks on best practices in face to face and facilitative learning and creating a successful skills support programme.
Working closely with Library colleagues and others across the University of Manchester, I support and contribute to high-level strategy around the University of Manchester Library's teaching and learning activity and take an active role in promoting up-to-date and innovative pedagogy and practice throughout Library services. I lead on the Open Training Programme for My Learning Essentials and can spend inordinate amounts of time talking about education, students and the research around learning. I like using data to make decisions and cause a bit of trouble and aim to make things better, not merely different.
